ABOUT US

 

The Orange County USBC Association, Inc. was formed in 2005 as the result of merging the Orange County “ABC” (men), Orange County “WIBC” (women), and the Orange County “Y.A.B.A.” (youth) associations.  It was necessary to combine all aspects of the three associations; the boards of directors, financial accounts, membership databases, etc.  The merger was not an easy one as many hours were spent by the combined boards in merging the organizations.  Orange County was one of the first areas in the United States to merge their men, women, and youth associations.  Now that the merger has been completed, the new board of directors has been working hard to keep this merger process as smooth as possible.  There have been some ups and downs, but overall we believe the merger has been a relatively smooth transition.

With the associations merged, one of the biggest obstacles we have faced is communication with our new combined membership.  This has been no easy task and we are continually working to improve this task and will continue to do so until we know that the membership is aware of everything “BOWLING” that is going on in Orange County.

This new and revised website is just one of the ways that we intend to better our communication with the bowlers in the association.  We will keep the website updated regularly and a variety of new information will be added.  This website will have downloadable “forms” (tournament entry forms, board of director and officer applications, etc) that you can download & print.  There will be information and links for upcoming events and news.  Please bookmark this website and check it often and keep informed of “what’s going on” in the Orange County bowling community.
